ArtPrize, the worlds largest open art competition, sets the scene for an original, over-the-top, burlesque-inspired musical stage play, presented by The Bayside Bombshell’s Burlesque Troupe. The Bombshells will be returning to the competition this year with; Fear and Loathing at ArtPrize: A Savage Musical Journey to the Heart of the Burlesque Dream. Performing once again at Dr. Grinn’s comedy club located inside the B.O.B. in downtown Grand Rapids, MI. See the spectacle Sat., Sept. 21st at 3pm. and Sun., Sept. 22nd at 7pm.

This show portrays the misadventures of Hunter S. Thompson (counter culture icon, Gonzo journalist, and well rounded trouble maker.), putting the good Doctor of journalism on an assignment unlike any other. He finds himself plunging head first on a savage journey to find the heart of the burlesque dream. In true Gonzo fashion the Bombshells eliminate the lines between fact and truth, life and art, reality and drug induced perception.
